Bernat Vázquez

Graduate in Podiatry, Specialist in Gait Biomechanics

Born on December 13, 1982, in Barcelona, into a family connected to healthcare and sports. He shares his profession with his father, who was a podiatrist for FC Barcelona for 30 years and the official podiatrist of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation.

He studied Podiatry out of vocation, specializing in Sports Podiatry at UB, where he is currently a postgraduate instructor. He continued his training with several courses in sports biomechanics at John Moore University in Liverpool and the University of Salford in Manchester. He actively participates in national and international congresses on biomechanics and sports podiatry.

In the 2007-2008 season, he was part of the medical services of FC Barcelona, joining the Barcelona B team managed by Pep Guardiola. The following season, RCD Espanyol offered him the opportunity to join the club’s first team, starting a new stage that continues today.

He dedicates part of his time to research projects related to biomechanics, collaborating with John Moore University in Liverpool. Head of the Foot Biomechanics Unit at the Barcelona Children’s Hospital. Podiatrist at the Sánchez-Casal International Tennis Academy.

Currently, he focuses all his efforts on improving knowledge of pathologies associated with lower limb movement, both in sports and in daily life.
