High-power magnetic therapy (superinductive) / magnetotherapy

*Subject to availability. The request is not binding. We will contact you to confirm the appointment.

Magnetic waves are treatments that create a molecular vibration at the osteo-muscular level, enhancing neovascularization in the stimulated area.

Used in combination with treatments such as deep UHF diathermy, it enhances an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates joint collagen, and improves bone density. The magnetic wave devices we have at Sportcat are high-power. When discussing magnetic wave treatments, not all devices are equal; it is important to consider the power they deliver and the diameter of the solenoid, which is the applicator. Some magnetic wave devices have almost no power and would require many hours of application to reach, if at all, a metabolic effect. Therefore, it is crucial to be very critical when evaluating and comparing magnetotherapy treatments. With the magnetic wave devices we have, by generating high power and having a large solenoid, we stimulate the bone periosteum, generating the desired neovascularization, which, enhanced by the deep thermal effect of deep UHF diathermy, allows us to treat chronic osteoarticular degenerative processes such as osteoarthritis, osteochondritis, DSR, Sudecks… One important application of magnetic waves is for bone pathologies such as fractures. They can be applied over casts or fiber splints without any problem, accelerating healing and halving consolidation time while avoiding problematic sequelae such as Sympathetic Reflex Dystrophies (DSR), fibrosis, joint ankylosis, or Sudeck. Stress fractures and periostitis are other main applications of magnetic waves. One of the main degenerative bone pathologies, especially in women, is osteopenia or, in its more advanced stage, osteoporosis. It involves deterioration and loss of bone density due to the decline of estrogen metabolism during menopause, as estrogens are the main factor maintaining bone calcium density during the fertile years. Magnetic waves in these pathologies favor calcium absorption and consolidation in the bone, preventing further loss of bone density, stabilizing it, and improving bone strength. It is an optimal treatment to prevent osteoporosis and avoid pathological bone fractures.

At Sportcat, we have different magnetotherapy equipment depending on treatment needs.

We can perform localized treatments in supine position with a mechanical solenoid at 180 gauss.

Or we can perform superinductive therapy at 3 Teslas (30,000 gauss) using superinductive therapy, which can be applied in a combined, manual, or dynamic way.

This powerful magnetic field stimulates nerve cells, muscles, and blood vessels, being effective for pain treatment, muscle tone improvement, blood circulation enhancement, and activation of musculoskeletal regeneration processes, or we can perform relaxing neuromodulation for neuropathies or radicular pain.
