Exercise tests with gas analysis

*Subject to availability. The request is not binding. We will contact you to confirm the appointment.

The exercise test with gas analysis is the most complete sports medical test available, as it allows real-time calculation of physical performance with actual measurements. It is performed by continuously measuring the gases inhaled and exhaled.

It allows for precise measurement of VO2 max, aerobic threshold (Vt1), and anaerobic threshold (Vt2). It also enables accurate calculation of the fat-burning zone, carbohydrate-burning zone, glycemic zone, and lactic zone.

At the same time, a 12-lead electrocardiogram is recorded, blood pressure is monitored to check adaptation and recovery during exercise, and post-exercise blood lactate and glucose are measured.

Prior to the test, a full physical examination, complete anamnesis, resting and forced spirometry, blood oxygen saturation, and anthropometry via octapolar bioimpedance are performed, among other assessments.

The test takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours in total.

It can be performed on a cycle ergometer (bike) or treadmill, depending on each individual’s sporting movement.

Our facilities include changing rooms with showers where participants can change and shower after the test.
