Hyaluronic Acid Injections
Hyaluronic acid injections are one of the optimal treatments for post-rehabilitation chondroprotection, once the inflammatory process has been stabilized.
Hyaluronic acid has been used by injection for about 17 years, although it is in recent years that its use has increased, replacing many other products, as it has no side effects and offers numerous joint benefits. Hyaluronic acid can be administered orally, topically, or by injection. The optimal treatment is injection directly into the joint, although it should be noted that these products are expensive, especially when the molecule is pure and biotechnologically produced, not derived from rooster combs or other animals. At Sportcat, we perform ultrasound-guided joint injections with hyaluronic acid to provide chondroprotection in the final phases of treatment or as prevention.
